” Caritas Moldova’s Volunteers’ Family” – VIst Caritas Moldova’s Volunteers’ Festival

The volunteers festival has become traditional for Caritas Moldova, that organized its VI-th edition on 27-th September 2014. This event took place at the Don Bosco Oratory from Chisinau.

This year, at the festival were involved around 100 youngsters,who actively support the volunteer initiatives from the local Caritas branches: Balti, Ribnita, Rascov, Sloboda-Rascov, Singerei, Tiraspol, Bender and the special guests – volunteers from Don Bosco Oratory.

This edition of the festival was entitled “The Family of Volunteers from Caritas Moldova”. Speaking about the situation of the families from Moldova, the participants expressed their opinion regarding the family values in their vision, the volunteering activity, and how can they contribute to strengthening and sustaining the families from our country.

Here are some answers of the participants regarding this topic:

Yes, I feel as being a volunteer and I feel proud that I can participate in different activities that are interesting and benefic for me and others”.

Thefamily represents the biggest source of happiness, based on understanding, respect, love and spiritual warmth”.

“What keeps the family? The affection, fidelity, respect, mutual trust, tolerance, forgiveness and sharing the problems, it represents the spirit of sacrifice that you are willing to offer”.

“What is love? Emotions, devotion, happiness, it is the only feeling in the world that ennobles to be better and closer to God”.

“How can we solve the problems in the family? By supporting each other, dialog, peace and love”.

The games, dances, distraction and a lot of contests were organized at this festival. Beside this, the musical band from Caritas Ribnita offered a live performance with rock and roll, jazz, and ethno music. During the festival took place The Best Volunteers Award, rewarded with diplomas for significant contribution in community development. The most awaited part of the day for all was the serving of the cake, followed by the end of the program and the feeling of waiting the next 2015 festival!
