Position title: Humanitarian Project Assistant
Location: Chisinau – Caritas Moldova headquarters

Status: Part-time (4 hours/day), flexible schedule depending on activities

1. Context
Caritas Moldova is implementing a humanitarian project aimed at supporting people affected by the crisis (refugees, vulnerable people in host communities), in accordance with humanitarian principles, Sphere standards, and protection and safeguarding policies.
To support the implementation of the project, we are looking for a Project Assistant, involved 50% in coordinating activities and supporting the team.
2. Purpose of the position
The Project Assistant supports the Project Coordinator in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on activities, contributing to the smooth running of the project and the achievement of the expected results.
3. Main responsibilities
- Supports the Project Coordinator in organizing and implementing daily activities;
- Participates in preparing and updating activity plans and project reports;
- Collects and organizes data for monitoring and reporting, in collaboration with the MEAL team;
- Supports the implementation of feedback and complaint mechanisms (FCRM) at project level;
- Maintains internal communication with team members, clarifying tasks and responsibilities;
- Collaborates with the Protection Officer and mobile teams to implement activities in the field, respecting the principles of protection and "Do No Harm";
- Supports the logistics of activities and the coordination of necessary resources (materials, equipment, transport, etc.);
- Participate in relevant internal and inter-institutional meetings, supporting advocacy and collaboration with local partners;
- Contribute to ensuring compliance with protection and safeguarding policies in daily activities;
- Prioritize daily tasks and organize time efficiently to ensure optimal support within the program, given the 50% involvement.
- Perform other administrative or operational tasks necessary for the successful implementation of the project, as requested by the project team.
4. Qualifications and experience
- Higher education in social sciences, management, international relations, or relevant fields;
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in managing or implementing humanitarian or social projects;
- Experience working with refugees or vulnerable groups is an advantage;
- Knowledge of humanitarian principles, protection, and safeguarding is an advantage;
- Organizational and coordination skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Romanian language – fluent; English and/or Russian language – intermediate/advanced (written and spoken).
