Easter is a time of hope, solidarity and the joy of giving. But for many large families and lonely elderly people in the Republic of Moldova, the holiday table remains empty. Caritas Moldova is launching the "1 Kg against Poverty" campaign to collect 1 tonne of food for those most in need. With your help we can bring light and hope into the homes of the vulnerable.

Why is this campaign important?

Thousands of people in Moldova live in extreme poverty. For many large families and lonely elderly people, the holidays are a difficult time of deprivation and helplessness. Through the "1 Kg against Poverty" campaign, we want to offer real and concrete support to those in need so that they can also enjoy their Easter meal. Every kilo of food donated means a warm meal, a smile and a drop of hope.

How can you help?

• Donate online - You can contribute financially towards the purchase of essential food items. www.caritas.md
• Donate products - We are waiting for you at Caritas Moldova headquarters (Chișinău, str. Gh. Asachi 30/1, please contact us in advance for confirmation: 078346011) with non-perishable products such as flour, oil, pasta, rice, canned food, sugar, sweets or other basic foods.
• Become a campaign ambassador - If you are a current school student, student or employee, you can organize a collection in your school, university or company. Mobilize colleagues and friends to collect as many items as possible! 
• Share this message - Tell your friends, colleagues and family about the campaign! The more people know about our initiative, the more people will get help.

Where and when to donate?

Donations can be brought to the Caritas Moldova headquarters or to collection points set up in partnership with schools, universities and companies.
