About Caritas

Caritas, named after a Latin word that means love and compassion, has become one of the biggest humanitarian organizations in the world.

Founded in 1995, Caritas Moldova is part of Caritas Internationalis which has 165 members.

Inspired by the Catholic faith, Caritas aims to carry out the Church's charitable and social action - reaching out to the poor, vulnerable and excluded, regardless of race or religion, to build a world based on justice and fraternal love.

Parishes

Cooperation between Caritas and the parishes is necessary to ensure that charitable activities in all parishes are systematic and sustainable. Cooperation between Caritas and the parishes promotes communication and communication for integrated human development and community care and focuses on: strengthening the interaction between Caritas and parish staff; prompt response and timely assistance to parishes; and the provision of quality and sustainable social services.

The Caritas Moldova Charitable Foundation is committed to protecting and ensuring the physical and psycho-emotional well-being of vulnerable children and adults who benefit from the foundation's projects and activities. All employees, volunteers and partners will sign the Code of Ethics and Conduct under which they undertake not to expose the beneficiaries to any form of violence, exploitation or trafficking in human beings.
