Mini-grants competition within the Project “Children with Future – Future for Children”, in Orhei

Future grows green

Starting April, Caritas Moldova has launched the mini-grants competition within the Project “Children with Future – Future for Children”. Young people from Orhei town and Mitoc, Ciocâlteni and Puțintei villages were invited to actively participate in the writing process of project proposals, as they are the ones who decide what should be improved in their communities.

In this regard, one of the pupils’ initiatives from “Mihai Eminescu” Gymnasium, town Orhei was to greening the land around the school. Sixty pupils from V to IX form classes took part in this action, showingtheir care about the environment. Over 190 perennial flowers and shrubs wereplanted. Beforehand, teenagers received instructions about flowers and shrubs planting rules. Subsequently, twenty-two students have formed a team called “Green Patrol”, who took the charge to supervise and take care of the land in the future.
