The Caritas Moldova Charitable Foundation launched the project Support for refugees from Ukraine and the Programme of measures for the cold season. The aim of this project is to ensure an effective emergency response for refugees in Moldova. Caritas Moldova, through the project, aims to provide help to those who have offered help. It is a wonderful initiative that showcases solidarity and human kindness in times of need.
Recently, the Caritas Moldova project team visited 15 families to address the necessary measures for minor repairs of the houses of the host families of refugees in Ungheni and Balti. Needs assessments were carried out to carry out the repair works. The next stage involves carrying out the actual works, during which the project team will work closely with host families and construction contractors. This project would not be possible without the donor support and contribution provided by Caritas Austria, Austrian Development Cooperation and Nachbar in Not (Neighbour in Need).
The given activity within the project is an important step in increasing the safety and well-being of refugee families hosted in Moldova.
