26 years of episcopal service

26 years of episcopal service

On January 6, 2000, in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, in a historic moment for the Catholic Church in the Republic of Moldova, St. John Paul II consecrated the first bishop of Chișinău, His Excellency Anton Coșa, as successor to the apostles. Today, 26 years after that event, we celebrate a journey of faith, steadfast service, and love for people.

Your Holiness Anton, on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of your episcopal consecration, the entire Caritas Moldova team thanks you for giving life to this charitable foundation, which rightly calls you "Father," and, in addition to the traditional "May you live many years!", implores God in prayer for the grace and power of the Holy Spirit so that you may continue to be the prodigal father in charity, the good shepherd of the flock entrusted to you, the salt of this earth and the light of the people at the head of whom the High Priest Jesus has placed you, the city on the mountain where every person can find support and comfort, the torch that guides people to salvation. May you have all the good that comes from the Father of light, through his Son Jesus Christ and through the life-giving Spirit.

President of Caritas Moldova, Father Petru Ciobanu

For Caritas Moldova, His Eminence Anton Coșa is "Father," the one who gave life to a charitable mission that, over the years, has become a source of support for tens of thousands of people in need.

Your Holiness Anton,
On this anniversary, as we celebrate 26 years since your episcopal consecration by Saint John Paul II, the Caritas Moldova team would like to express our humble gratitude. We thank you for bringing this foundation to life and for truly being a "Father" to us.
Throughout this time, you have built with grace and dedication not only a Church, but a shelter of hope, being for all of us the good shepherd who leads souls to salvation and the heart that beats for those who suffer. We pray that God will continue to preserve you as a living torch, the salt of this earth and the city on the mountain where every person finds solace.
May you remain the same "prodigal" father in charity, guided by the power of the Holy Spirit for the good of the whole people.
Many blessed years to you, Your Holiness!
