Accommodation help for 50 Ukrainian refugee families in Moldova

In 2024, rental housing remains a significant challenge for refugees settled in Moldova. The high degree of vulnerability for these people, as well as high inflation, makes it difficult to find housing that meets minimum living standards and is affordable. The "Transitional Accomodation for Vulnerable Ukrainian Refugees in Moldova" program addresses this problem through a combination of financial assistance for rental, host family, minor repairs and cold weather.

Thus, 50 Ukrainian families have already received cash help for rent for 6 months, while 24 host families and 67 Ukrainians have received cash help for minor repairs to their homes.

The program is implemented between 01.07.2023 - 31.12.2024, in Chisinau, Hincesti, Soroca, Ialoveni, Cahul, Balti, Edinet, Ungheni and Stefan Voda, in partnership with CRS and with the financial support of Caritas Spain.
