The Caritas Moldova team, together with the CRS partners, immediately mobilized to better and effectively support Ukrainian refugees in need of care and emergency shelter, providing them with humanitarian assistance and first aid.

In direct coordination with the authorities, humanitarian support for refugees from Ukraine began on the night of 24.02.22. Employees and volunteers of the Caritas Moldova Charitable Foundation procured strictly what was needed in urgent situations and the goods were delivered to a refugee center. Food, hygiene, water, and fruit were provided to 36 Ukrainian citizens (adults and children) currently housed in the Chisinau Airport Refugee Center. Pillows and blankets were delivered.

"They are very scared of this phenomenon," the center's director told us.

We thank the authorities for the transparent and prompt communication, our CRS partners, the volunteers and all those who have contributed or want to contribute as little as possible to supporting the refugees who need us so much!

We will provide humanitarian aid as soon as possible in the refugee center in Ocnita, Palanca and wherever it is needed!
