Safety Starts With Information: Joint Campaign to Prevent Human Trafficking

In the context of the European Anti-Trafficking Day, marked annually on 18 October, the Border Police of the Republic of Moldova, together with the Caritas Moldova Charity Foundation, carried out a joint information and awareness campaign on preventing human trafficking.

The campaign took place in three locations, starting at the Tudora Border Crossing Point, continuing at the Sculeni Border Crossing Point, and ending at Chișinău “Eugen Doga” International Airport.

During the activities, travelers were informed about the main risks associated with human trafficking, the signs that may indicate a dangerous situation, and the ways in which they can ask for help.

The distributed materials also offered useful recommendations for preventing risky situations and protecting personal safety.

The campaign emphasizes prevention through information, so that citizens can more easily identify situations that may endanger their safety and learn about the protective measures they can take.

The Border Police of the Republic of Moldova, jointly with the Caritas Moldova Charity Foundation, through the cross-border project “Cross-border Cooperation (Moldova, Romania and Ukraine)”, is joining efforts to prevent situations of vulnerability and strengthen the protection of citizens.
