Every year on December 5 we celebrate "International Volunteer Day". Thus, we share the values of volunteerism, celebrate the joy and hope that our youth brought to the souls of those in need during the year. That is why every year the Charity Foundation Caritas Moldova organizes the "Festival of Volunteers", an event that has already survived until the 11th time.

The festival, which took place on December 14, 2019, gathered almost 100 people from both banks of the Dniester River.

Competing in enthusiasm and creativity, Caritas Moldova volunteers presented all their activities and achievements during the year, and the most active and enterprising ones were awarded prizes. Several guests honored us with their presence, as well as with words of welcome and congratulations, such as:

His Excellency Anton Coga, Bishop of Chisinau,

Don Cesare Lodeserto, General Vicar of the Diocese of Chisinau,

Father Massimiliano Mazzotta, volunteer coordinator of the Diocese of Chisinau,

Eduard Lucaci, President of Caritas Moldova.

In his speech, His Excellency said: "Today, our Caritas has gathered its volunteers to celebrate a day of gratitude for the generosity with which they accompanied some of his initiatives.

The "Festival of Volunteers" is a major event dedicated to volunteers of all ages involved in community activities in projects implemented by Caritas Moldova and is an excellent platform for dialogue between active volunteers on both banks of the Dniester River.

Thank you, dear volunteers, for all the wonderful things you do, for all the energy invested and dedication shown during the year! You are a living example that transformation happens through participation!
