Memorandum of Agreement on cooperation in the field of promoting positive learning environments

Partnership for schools where children feel safe and can grow up in a harmonious environment

On April 10, 2026, the Caritas Moldova Charitable Foundation signed, alongside the Ministry of Education and Research and in partnership with Catholic Relief Services, a Memorandum of Understanding that marks an important step toward developing positive learning environments in the Republic of Moldova.

The agreement, valid for the period 2026–2028, reflects a shared commitment to contributing to children’s well-being by creating safe, inclusive educational spaces focused on the holistic development of students. From Caritas Moldova’s perspective, this partnership strengthens our mission to support vulnerable children and families not only through social interventions but also through sustainable investments in education.

As part of the collaboration, training programs will be organized for teachers, supplemented by mentoring and ongoing support, so that teachers can effectively integrate social-emotional learning practices into their daily work. At the same time, educational institutions will receive teaching materials designed to support the development of healthy classroom relationships and create an educational environment based on trust and respect.

We are pleased to have established the following priorities and to have gained a clear understanding of how Caritas Moldova can continue to contribute to the development of the education system and the reforms that the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova is planning or currently implementing.
