During the period from 15 to 17 March, Caritas Moldova conducted a training for volunteers providing psycho-emotional assistance. The meeting took place in 3 thematic days. 

15. 03. 2022 Topic of the day: Psychological First Aid and Crisis Intervention
The guys learned the basic principles of working with psychological trauma, the basics of first aid, and also got acquainted with the intricacies of communicating with refugees.

16. 03. 2022 Topic of the day: Methods of working with refugee children
Since volunteers spend a lot of time with children, the second day of the training was devoted to learning about interesting games for children of different ages. During the day, the guys tried about 20 different games: mobile and calm, with equipment and requiring nothing, for kids and teenagers.

17. 03. 2022 Topic of the day: Safeguarding Policy and Supervision
The volunteers spent the last day studying Caritas' policies to protect beneficiaries, as well as volunteers and employees, from any form of violence and exploitation. During the second part of the training, we conducted a general supervision - we analyzed the difficult situations that the volunteers faced in the format of a role-playing game.

The training was attended by 30 student volunteers providing psycho-emotional services in the centers for refugees Moldexpo and Fides (Casa Providentei). The sessions were organized by 3 experts in psychological support in case of trauma and work with children.
