"Let the children come to me and do not stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." (Mark 10:14)
On the occasion of the International Day of Child Protection, Caritas Moldova Charitable Foundation, in partnership with FIDES Centre and Providence House, organized a series of events dedicated to children from Ukrainian refugee families. This project was made possible thanks to the generosity of Caritas Norge and NORAD, as well as to the educators and volunteers from FIDES and Casa Providenței, whom we thank for their daily effort and dedication.
The activities began with a photo session, which captured the smiles and joy of the children. They all had the opportunity to be captured in happy and innocent poses, creating precious memories.
The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the presence of some of the children's favourite mascots, who turned the day into a real adventure. The little ones interacted with their favourite characters, playing and posing with them. Accompanied by dedicated educators and volunteers, the children enjoyed a day full of laughter and fun in a safe and caring atmosphere.
In addition to preschoolers, children of Ukrainian refugees attending online lessons and those in the After School programme also enjoyed outdoor games and recreational activities.
The event was more than just a fun day out: it was a demonstration of the international community's solidarity and support for children affected by the war in Ukraine.
Marking International Child Protection Day at the FIDES Centre and House of Providence demonstrated that, through joint efforts, we can bring light and hope into the lives of the most vulnerable among us.
