The 2% mechanism allows you to redirect a small part of your income tax - money you pay to the state anyway - to a cause that matters to you. It's a simple, free gesture that can make a real difference in the lives of the most vulnerable.

Why redirect 2% to Caritas Moldova?
For 30 years, Caritas Moldova has been at the side of those who need it most: lonely elderly people, children from disadvantaged families, refugees who have left their homes behind, people on the brink of poverty.
This winter, the energy crisis has hit many families in Moldova and many people have had to choose between eating and keeping warm. Faced with this harsh reality, many did not have enough resources to pay their bills and the cold penetrated deep into their homes.
Through Caritas Moldova, the redirected money will be used to directly help those vulnerable families who do not have access to energy sources or who are facing huge bills.
For many of them, Caritas Moldova is the only support.

What did we achieve last year?
Thanks to those who redirected 2% of their income tax to Caritas Moldova, we managed to raise 31,563.51 lei. This amount allowed us to provide 632 hot meals to lonely elderly people, to whom only Caritas Moldova still goes.
For these people, a hot lunch is not just food - it is a sign that someone cares for them, that they are not forgotten. It's a meal served with a smile, a moment to feel the warmth of a community that has not abandoned them.

How do you redirect 2%?

1. Fill in the Income Tax Declaration (CET18) - If you had taxable income in the previous year, you can redirect 2% to Caritas Moldova.
2. Mention the tax code of Caritas Moldova: 1015620003945 in the section for the percentage designation.
3. File your declaration by April 30 - You can do this online, through the e-Declaration service on the State Tax Service portal or physically at your local tax office.
