"Children are the keys to paradise", said the American writer Eric Hoffer, and "childhood is the heart of all ages", said the Romanian philosopher Lucian Blaga.

Just as every Christian wants to be in the Lord's right in the Hereafter, so every child wants his or her most fervent wish to be fulfilled. At the same time, just as we care for and want to listen to our hearts, we must preserve and cultivate the innocence and charm of childhood.

In virtue of these beliefs, which are born from the words of the Saviour: "Let the little children come to me and do not stop them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Mark 10:14), the Caritas Moldova team organized the 4th edition of the charity campaign "Harvest the dreams of childhood".

Thanks to the generosity of our Campaign Ambassadors: the Pharmacy Network "Farmacia Familiei", the company "Axint Management Group" and other partners who wished to remain anonymous, 40 children from the four support centres in Petropavlovca (r. Sangeri), Tiraspol, Rașcov (left bank of the Dniester River) and Zărnești (r. Cahul) saw their dreams come true.

Although the gifts they received - from dolls and painting sets to bicycles, scooters and roller skates - brought smiles to their faces, the little ones were nevertheless delighted, first and foremost, by the attention they received. The twinkle in the children's eyes and the warm hugs overwhelmed both the staff of the centres and the campaign ambassadors, to whom we are deeply grateful.

Together we can bring more smiles and hope into children's lives.
