From October 21 to 24, several volunteers of the Caritas Moldova Charity Foundation visited Romania on a four-day visit to exchange experiences with Caritas Iasi volunteers.
During the visit, the volunteers had the opportunity to actively participate in events organized by Caritas Iasi.
Thus, on the first day of acquaintance the volunteers worked together, and in the evening they met with girls from the St. Joseph's Accommodation Center.
On the second day, the volunteers prepared personalized greeting cards, which they distributed to the elderly on the occasion of the Senior Citizens Day.
The next day our volunteers spent with children from the Don Bosco Center in Iasi, where they created handicrafts for the Million Star campaign; they also participated in fun games together and helped them with their homework.
The last day was also spent with children, this time in creative workshops to prepare things to be sold on Christmas Eve. In gratitude for the time spent together, the guys from Don Bosco Center in Iasi presented our volunteers a surprise made by their own hands.
Full of emotions YoungCaritasMoldova volunteers have returned home and are going to share their experience with other colleagues, organizing events in the coming months. Keep an eye on them and us!
The event was organized by Caritas Moldova and Caritas Iasi within the Young Caritas Moldova project within the Grants Program 2019 for youth organizations, funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova.
We take this opportunity to thank our partners for this opportunity and express our interest in developing other similar projects.
