Education and Psychosocial Support to Ukrainian Refugees in Moldova

The project created friendly centers for refugee and host community children in Orhei and Ungheni, providing a safe, educational and recreational environment. Through interactive activities and psychosocial support, the initiative helps integrate children and support their families.

Key Results:

  • 151 children received educational and recreational support, improving their academic and social skills.
  • 33 caregivers participated in stress management and parenting education sessions.
  • Community events strengthened relationships between refugees and locals.

Essential Activities:

  • For children: afterschool, creative workshops, life skills development, sports and mindfulness.
  • For caregivers: parenting education, parenting clubs, emotional support sessions.
  • For the community: fairs, educational visits, summer camps and cultural events.

Impact and Lessons Learned:
The project has a significant impact on children and families, both refugees and from the host community, contributing to their educational development, social integration and emotional support. The experiences and lessons learned from the previous phases allow for the optimization of the way the project is implemented in the current phase. The impact generated so far has been positive, promoting social cohesion and solidarity between refugee families and the local community.
