As the Russian invasion expands in Ukraine, the United Nations (UN) estimates that more than four million Ukrainians will be forced to flee the country if there is no cessation of the invasion. Already an estimated 84,000 refugees have crossed into Moldova, with about half moving on to other countries in the EU and the other half settling in Moldova. Caritas Moldova is responding to the refugee crisis, working to serve conflict-affected Ukrainians in Moldova.

25.02.2022 - this day with a major impact for everyone, will remain in history an imprint of faith and hope. Following the catastrophic events in Ukraine, a state of alert has been announced for our sisters and brothers in Ukraine and around the world.

In 3 days the whole world showed love, compassion, kindness and a lot of solidarity. The human factor has played a major role in our history.

The Caritas Moldova team, together with the CRS partners, immediately mobilized to better and effectively support Ukrainian refugees in need of care and emergency shelter, providing them with humanitarian assistance and first aid.
