Caritas Moldova is responding to the refugee crisis, working to serve conflict-affected Ukrainians in Moldova.
As the Russian invasion expands in Ukraine, the United Nations (UN) estimates that more than four million Ukrainians will be forced to flee the country if there is no cessation of the invasion. Already an estimated 84,000 refugees have crossed into Moldova, with about half moving on to other countries in the EU and the other half settling in Moldova. Caritas Moldova is responding to the refugee crisis, working to serve conflict-affected Ukrainians in Moldova.
On Saturday, March 5, the first group psychological session for the volunteers of the Charity Foundation "Caritas Moldova" took place, which provides psychological and educational support to refugees. The session was organized and conducted in partnership with the Association of Gestalt Therapy and Psychodrama of Moldova. The session was led by Elena Biceva, psychologist-trainer, professor of modern psychodrama, associate professor at the State Pedagogical University "Ion Creanga" and founder of the community of professional psychologists PsyCentru.
Caritas team represented by generous people, is in Republic of Moldova to protect vulnerable, discriminated and marginalized people.
